Maternal Mental Health

Maternal Mental Health Month

Whether you are carrying or adopting a child, motherhood is a unique journey where there is immense change at every stage.

From the outset of a pregnancy, through birth and the multi-faceted world of parenting, you’ll experience moments of joy and happiness, but might also come across challenges and difficulties.

The inevitable changes around the journey of parenting bring with them uncertainty, which in turn can mean you might feel anxiety and stress around pregnancy, childbirth and your role as a mother. If you feel that you are struggling to cope at any stage, it’s really important to reach out for help as soon as possible so that you can receive the support that you deserve.

Testimonials

Thank you for your heartfelt understanding. You clearly understood how I felt as a mother.

Testimonials

Thank you for taking time to talk to me. I've been having therapy for my post-natal depression but have never told them I self-harm. I've been struggling all day but having someone there straight away [to] direct me to something helpful is really great. You helped me a lot.
